Brick lasts for centuries instead of just 7 to 10 years. Here are the most popular brick colors that are currently being used. 
More is Better
Having a lot of options is always a treat for creative homeowners. Those with a contemporary style home, love the fact that there are so many color variations to choose from. According to the Brick Industry Association (BIA) the trends showing up in the residential construction are whites, grays, defined hard edges and mortar joints, traditional red brick, reds with black and thin brick floors.
“Rising texture trends include brick screen walls, brick insets and exclusions, brick-within-brick elements, blending diverse patterns and texture, and modern design with refurbished, rustic exteriors,” reports BIA.
The commercial trends are a bit different than the residential. These trends include whites, smooth grays, wire-cuts, black brick, screen wall brick, smooth face tumbled brick and multiple blended textures. New construction buildings today are now actually designed to look rustic and refurbished.
Having so many choices is great for the brick industry. Homeowners, architects and builders have several options in all different price ranges. BIA says the biggest challenge today is: “What color and texture look best for our home?”
