Real thin brick is basically brick tiles that are manufactured specifically for flooring, but can also be used on walls or anywhere creativity allows. This product is hand-made and is stronger than standard floor tiles.
Since it is hand-made, it is also made to order. Real thin brick can is kiln-fired at 2,200 degrees Fahrenheit. This makes the product last a lifetime.
When bricks are ordered, they start from scratch by finding antique bricks that can be used to create molds for the thin bricks. This gives the new thin bricks an aged, authentic appearance. One hundred percent clay compressed to 1/2 inch thickness is used.
An advantage to using real thin bricks is that they are lightweight. Since they are so thin, they are easier to apply and can be used on almost any surface. Thin bricks can be installed like ceramic tile with tile mortar or adhesive.
